Does Everyone Have An Agenda?

Worked on paperback files, some tweaking after I discovered a new trick. Now I look more like everyone else. Yay! Right. That’s what it’s all about, right? Looking like everyone one else.

Until they start reading the words inside and they find out that you’re not quite like everyone else. You start making them uncomfortable. You’re filling them with ideas and politics. You have an agenda. They throw your book across the room and write a horrible review about you.

Or they really dig it and buy the next one.

Whatever.

But yeah. Those are the times we live in. You hear the way people talk. The key words.

“The Conservative Agenda.”

“The Liberal Agenda.”

Or Democratic or Republic or whatever.

Y2K did bring the end of times but it wasn’t with a meteor or a total system crash. It was a clash of culture. It was with a black president that brought out the Aryan Movement. It was the biggest recession that revealed who was in power. It was the people that are just so fucking tired of it all.

Out with the old and in with the new.

But it’s not easy because the old doesn’t want to go so easy.

So yeah, people talk funny these days. Talk like they’re in some movie or in a dystopian novel. I’m used to it. I grew up watching that shit. Mad Max films and Warriors of the Wasteland and Solar Babies (haha) and what have you. I read all the books before like Fahrenheit 451, 1984, Handmaids Tale, etc. You would think that sales for these books would go down because people would need a break from real life but I see that they have been going up (here and here). I guess people need how to books to get along in this world.

How much of this shit can you take? Fiction has become reality

When shit started going down after the last election I wasn’t so surprised like others. I have been seeing the world like that all my life. I was happy. Finally, I was validated.

But you know what? They story isn’t new. Don’t get mad at Trumpians when they say that Trump didn’t start this. Yeah, he did start this, this shit that is going on NOW, but a lot of it has happened before. Government has always treated non whites like shit. Yeah, whites are treated bad, but most white people are sheep. You see the symbolism don’t you. White people = white sheep. Sheep take it. They’re submissive. Ready for slaughter. Easily led to food.

Look at history. It goes through phases. Some presidents are worse than others. We’re going through the worse right now. He’s even got his own language and world. It’s brilliant. And dangerous. But the people who follow him have always been here. Always. They were here since the beginning of the country. Shit. Since the start of the world.

Hate never dies.

Hate has an agenda.

So does love.

Safe With Your Own Kind

Watched Narrow Margin. A tense little noir with great one liners that had it all: humor, twists, violence, style, voice, and a little kid in danger. A gravel voice cop escorts a mob boss’s wife to court via train to testify but the mob wants her dead. If I see it on DVD I’ll definitely pick it up.

A lot of times people say to me:

“You hide behind your keyboard and your views, safe with your own kind and your own people.”

I’ve explained myself with the first part of the comment. I am a keyboard warrior. Being autistic, a keyboard is my preferred choice of communication. My weapon and skill.

Now, what is wrong with wanting to be with people who share your view, no matter your view? If you see black and everyone one else sees white, living in that white world is going to be hard on you, no? (no pun intended)

I grew up in a little hick town called Howell in New Jersey – Monmouth County – and it sucked. Today you would call it Trump country. It was full of Aryan, racist views. Narrow minded, stuck up middle class and white trash. Homophobic. I did not share or fit in. I was a freak, a weirdo, and a loser. I got my ass kicked a lot.

Why should I fit in? I mean, I could but who wants to vomit three times a day?

So of course I wanted to leave and find someplace to fit in, to share my views. And I did in Jersey City.

That’s not to say I didn’t learn about other points to view. I learned a lot about hate and prejudice during my childhood. I learned how sad they were. How they lived in fear. How money controlled them. I saw their POV clearly.

I also saw POVs of LGBT, Latinos, Chicanos, Blacks, Africans, Muslims, etc. I spent my life learning POVs since leaving Howell. And I made them my own POV. I’m still learning. I’m a fucking sponge.

So if anyone says that I’m hiding behind my kind’s pov where I feel safe, then yeah. I am. And I do feel safe. As an autistic who has been abused by neuro typical white people through out my life, I do feel safe on my side.

Too Busy Saving Other Kids, No Time For Their Own

Heat wave is subsiding. I’m not doing much but I have plans in July.

Watched Warlock. I don’t watch many westerns except for the classics or if they stick out for some reasons. This one stick out for Richard Widmark. I’ll watch anything with him in it. I know he doesn’t seem like the type to be in a western. He was in another one (The Last Wagon) where he played a half breed Native American who helps a group of Christians across the territories to safety while Native Americans and Military are after their asses. It was pretty good. So is Warlock. Anthony Quinn and Henry Fonda starred in it also. Not into Henry Fonda. Quinn was great and out of character. They whole movie was complex about good and evil even though it used the same story about a town bullied by bad guys. The story tore the characters up. The ending was not wrapped up nice and dandy.

Speaking of bullies.

My son’s bully keeps escalating. Just will not stay away from him, keeps his hands to himself or his mouth shut. Now that my son’s pedophile homeroom teacher is out having heart surgery, they have a sub for the rest of the year and the kid can what ever he wants to my son to torture him. Like regular teachers, subs do even less.

I did more research on his family. Turns out his grandfather is a Council Man Eugene Skurnick and not only is his aunt a former writer but a publisher, Lizzie Skurnick Books. Maybe that’s where he learns such phrases as “No one is going to believe you,” and “They will listen to me and not you,” that he says to my son. Classic terms you say to a girl before you rape her, no?

People in power over little people.

I’ll call the school again today. I don’t expect much. Bullies have more rights than victims. That’s just how it is. How it’s made.

They already talked to his father numerous times and the kid is in bully counseling. Kid has no fear of his father or his father just doesn’t care. Maybe he’s one of those liberals that is too busy saving other people’s kids, has no time to save his own?

I’m an Anti-Social X-Man

Worked on the Sandwich paperback file. 150 pages of shorts. Love how Garamond looks. Maybe I’ll have the cover ready by the end of the month.

CS has improved their template since the last time I used it or it just works better on the writing program I used. Either way, it went a lot faster and I was able to do more this time around.

Watched Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. Still a funny and risqué movie for PG that would never fly today. No way you could have an aroused, heavy, middle-aged woman straddle a man’s face at a picnic and ask, “Is this face taken?” And no, it wasn’t Elvira.

So yeah, a great movie with classic one liners in line with the best of Rodney Dangerfield’s movies about an outsider who ends up saving a town from a greater evil.

Read that this Katt Von D has been making the news because she plans to raise her child as a vegan and with no vaccinations. Now her long time customers will boycott because she won’t vaccinate her child.

First off, this is stupid in many parts.

Stupid Number One: There would never be enough boycotting that Von D would lose money to change her life principles. Case in point, the Trump boycott and the Chick-Fil-A boycott. Big business prevails because they always have their fingers in other ventures besides the main product they are pushing to help them through the lean times. And the average customer just doesn’t care.

Stupid Number Two: Von D is an idiot for raising her child a vegan. No one should push their child into doing something they don’t want to do that affects their body in such a harsh way. A child’s body goes through so many changes through the first 18 years that it needs certain vitamins and minerals and nutrients that some of them can only be obtained through meat. (Maybe I’m wrong, I’m just going by what I learned in school and from raising two kids). Yeah, I get there’s unnatural shit in meat. That’s why there is expensive meat without the shit. It’s times like this I have more respect for Protestant Christians. At least they wait for the child to be of a certain age before they baptize them. They wait until they are aware of sin. The parents wait until the child develops. But whatever. It’s stupid abuse on Von D’s, but not severe.

Stupid Number Three: Von D doesn’t want to vaccinate her child. It’s not clear if she fears autism but she does fear the chemicals in her child’s body. Apparently she doesn’t fear life-threatening diseases that can invade a child’s body and be carried over from one country to another and infect other non-vaccinated children. Or small pox, chicken pox, measles, and black plague?

But okay. That’s her choice. And there could be some secret natural vaccines out there that I don’t know about. She’s in this secret world. In this world autistic people are created by vaccines. Like me. I was once a normal little boy with wide clear eyes. I had a normal life. Vivacious. Active. Spoke clearly. Social.

Then I had the shot.

BOOM.

Glossy autistic eyes. Anti social. I have intense focus. Live in fantasy. I gained a super power. I became an anti-social X-Man.

I live an interesting life, no?

Do Your Job, Homicidal

Little work on The Collection. This rate I can be done editing by next week.

Completed some house projects I’ve been putting off because of the novel.

Summer is looming and the kids will be out soon. Finally vacation and can leave the city.

Finished Homicidal. Liked it a lot. Ripped off Psycho at the end but I did not see it coming. If I see it on DVD I’ll pick it up for my collection.

Thought about some short stories I wanted to write, in and out of the Tenebrous Chronicles. Maybe I can get to them this summer. That had always been my plan.

Although my brain is busy thinking about the world, if I type it out I would only be repeating myself. Not that many people read this blog anyway. I’ll try to think of something new tomorrow.

But I will leave you with this observation:

Conservatives say to the football player: Do your job and stand for the national anthem.

Liberals say to the baker: Do your job and bake the wedding cake.

Is it no wonder we live in a two party tyranny?

Cake

Worked on The Collection for a bit.

Voted for Senator.

Squeezed in stuff around the house.

Started watching William Castle’s Homicidal. Starts off pretty good. Great first reel. Surprised how gory it was. I’ll have to finish it tomorrow.

The war between the Libs and the Cons wages on. The latest upset with the Supreme Court Ruling dealing with the baker not wanting to make a wedding cake for the gay couple. Memes on both side are already out to blur the truth and make one side bash the other. Short video clips of truth will come out to embarrass and shame each side.

I don’t see what the hub bub is about. If a baker was an anti vaccer and didn’t want to make my wedding cake but still would sell me anything, including a plain cake, I would just find someone else to do it.

If a Christian publisher came to me and asked me to write a book celebrating the best abortion murders committed by pro-lifers, I would turn it down not only for my religious but ethical beliefs as well. Sure, I might write another subject for them, but not that one.

(Note: I am not a Christian but I can write anything for money)

The Christian publisher can sue me to the Supreme court. What if we were in a Lib world and they won based on the Baker case? Then I have to write it. So the government says I have no religious freedom to exercise my art.

But it’s not about religious freedom? It’s about not serving two gay men?

Maybe the baker was the only one in town, or the best one in town.

Which reality do I live in today?

Always Trust Your Agent, Not

Little revising on Cities That Eat Islands and I’m done. Started this draft at 80,000 words. After cutting, pasting, and writing, I’m left with a 83,500 word novel.

I’m happy with it. It’s a good part one to a trilogy. I’m geared up for part two, which I hope to start in September when the kids go back to school. Maybe if all goes well I can start in August.

As usual, part two is big in my head and I have many directions like I did with the first one but since I never work with an outline and I just write as I go based on cause and affect…

I’ll just try to keep my head blank on plot for the next few months and write my ideas down in the little green book as I get them.

Snuck some computer work in.

Read an interesting blog post from Chuck Palahniuk one of the authors ripped off from the major and prestigious literary agencies out there today. Always trust the great old agent as they say. You poor writers.

Watched the 3rd part of Arthur. I enjoyed it. Fairly complex plot for a family movie. Good edition to my Besson collection.

Free speech is at war again. Both sides are in battle. I think. I don’t know. Everyone has an agenda. Everyone wants to control someone. What do I know.
